Springing into Summer
We had a full schedule and a great winter this season and we are so proud to have Harwood Hockey call The Ice Center its home! Between Varsity and Youth Hockey we had some great teams, outstanding records and lots of team spirit. The EDGE Skating School had a great inaugural season as well. With growing numbers
The EDGE Skating School is growing with each new session. The adults and children who are enrolled this session are having a great time and becoming better skaters. It is so fun to watch. March starts the new spring session and skaters from session II receive a discount for signing up again AND a discount if they bring a friend to register!
Ice time for the spring and summer is filling up fast. If you are interested in setting up your own group of skaters give us a shout. If you want to join an existing group, call us or check out the Adult Hockey page on our site for contact information.
Irene Update:
We are proud to be a part of the Legislative "I Am Vermont Strong" license plate initiative. Local Vermont attractions are supporting this initiative by donating items or gift certificates to give away to those who purchase the "I Am Vermont Strong" license plates. Each week a lucky buyer will receive one of these gifts in their package with their new plate! This could be YOU if you support those who were affected by Irene by purchasing a $25 plate.
If you are looking for ways to help us finish some smaller projects please just ask what you can do. We have small painting projects, flooring and bleacher projects and more. Things to note
THINGS TO NOTE:
There are a few things we want to bring to our customers' attention. Thanks for your understanding and if you have any questions, please call us at 244-4040 or email us at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
- Youth Hockey Parents: We love having your kids play here every week, that is what we are here for! BUT please keep siblings and other kids under control at all times while they are here PLEASE. Too many kids running rampant in the rink during practices makes it hard on other spectators, hard on our staff and is distracting for the players and coaches on the ice. Please help us out and keep an eye on the non-skating children. Thanks!
- Locker Rooms: As per USA Hockey rules this will be the second year that all locker rooms be locked during game play and under full supervision in between periods. We will be requiring a coach to hand over their car keys in return for a lcoker room key during the youth hockey season. To get the car keys back the locker room must be as neat as it was when they arrived. We strive to give you a clean environment, please help us by doing your part when the kids are finished
- Puck Bucket: We want to provide pucks for you, our skaters, when you arrive here to play. If the pucks keep disappearing at this rate, we will have to change this policy. PLEASE - use our pucks freely and then return them to the puck bucket provided. We don't want to have to pass on any additional puck cost to you
- Reduce, Reuse, Recycle: We work hard to recycle all the bottles and cans we get here. We also redeem those worth .05 and put the money towards rink projects that benefit you! Please help us in our environmental quest and use the recycling buckets provided throughout the rink. The big round garbage bins are for garbage. The smaller square buckets next to the grabage cans are for bottles and cans. THANK YOU
